Becky Maddocks

Becky first stepped through StarStruck’s doors whilst in Primary School. She had been dancing with Katie’s sister Lian, who had taken a group of students to perform in Beijing, China on Chinese Television. Becky’s performance was incredible and she had to learn a Chinese monologue to accompany the dance, celebrating the Olympic Games.

Becky decided to expand her skill set and through Lian, met Katie and joined SSPA exam classes and the first London Mardi Gras team. A strong performer who excelled through the MT syllabus, Becky added the Saturday Showstoppers class to her weekly timetable and her confidence and ability increased rapidly.

After many performances in annual shows, festivals and London stages, Becky achieved the Triple Threat Award at StarStruck. Following her successful audition at BOA (Birmingham Ormiston Academy), she gained a D*D*D* in Musical Theatre which then led Becky to study at Royal Holloway, University of London, completing her BA (Hons) in Drama and Theatre Studies. Whilst at University Becky was awarded the role of Vice President of the Musical Theatre Society.

Becky is currently studying for a PGCE in Drama with English at Warwick University and says “being part of StarStruck infused my passion for Theatre and inspired me to become a Drama teacher. The school felt like another family to me and helped me grow in confidence as a performer”.

*We are so proud of all your achievements Becky, your love of acting, singing and dancing will no doubt inspire lots of children in the future*
