A keen performer from a young age, Bridget began vocal lessons aged 16, and quickly excelled in vocal performance. Within a couple of years she had gained a Distinction in Grade 8 Singing and achieved her Dip ABRSM in Vocal Performance. Soon after she was awarded a Choral Scholarship to study Music at the prestigious Durham University in 2012.
Here, she explored different aspects of performance. She sang with St Chad’s College Chapel Choir, took on several principle roles with the Durham Opera Ensemble, including the infamous “Queen of the Night” in the Magic Flute, and in the Summer of 2015, was invited to perform with the famous baritone Sir Thomas Allen at a special Anniversary Celebration for the University. In addition she also performed Musical Theatre, having often sung as a soloist in her University Cabaret shows and singing in the Amateur Dramatics Company, Festival Arts in the Summer Months.
Since Graduating, Bridget has actively been working within the Education Sector. She has worked as a Private Vocal Coach in a number of genres, preparing students for ABRSM and LCM exams. She has also worked as a Music Practitioner for several local Primary Schools with the award-winning Creative Arts organisation, The “Standing Ovation Project”.
Bridget is passionate about development within the arts and unlocking talent in those who need a boost of confidence. She hopes her experience, enthusiasm and versatility will benefit her students at StarStruck.
