I joined StarStruck in 2006 at the age of 5 starting with one of their great holiday workshops. This led to me joining the classes taught by an amazing group of teachers. Having been with StarStruck for over 11 years I have learned a vast amount of skills and techniques in Musical Theatre which have enabled me to be where I am today and given me the passion and drive I now have for the performing arts.
During my time with StarStruck I performed with the London Super Team at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London 5 times, gaining a main part in the 2017 performance of Hairspray in which I had a large singing solo, acting lines as well as being front row in the dances. Due to StarStrucks amazing faculty I gained very high marks in all my Musical Theatre exams from a young age, with one of my most recent exam scores being top of the school with 98% honours! I was also honoured to be named as Mr StarStruck in 2009!!
StarStruck gave me the confidence to successfully audition for the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra Children’s Choir (CBSO) at the age of 9 where I received expert tuition and performed in a range of venues including Birmingham Symphony Hall and Birmingham Cathedral. In 2016 I auditioned for Birmingham Ormiston Academy and successfully gained a place on the BTEC Musical Theatre pathway. During this time, I was the select dancer in the dance piece and had a solo in our first year showcase. In the second year I then gained a main part in our 3-night show of Bring It On (The Musical) at the Old Rep Theatre. In this show I had many lines, dance solos and singing solos.
Once again after successfully auditioning I am currently in my first year of college at Addict Dance Academy in Leicester which is one of the leading Dance colleges in the country with expert tuition from leading industry choreographers. The training at this college is extremely intense and very challenging but without the great experiences from StarStruck I would not be where I am today.
I am very excited for the future as I still have a long journey ahead, however I know the great training I have received will guide me where I need to go.
